The Raven Age (TRA) have revealed a video for their new single The Guillotine, out now via Music For Nations/Sony Music and at the same time have announced a 22 date European headline tour, which is on sale now via TRA’s newly announced Fan Club.

The Guillotine is a tale of the mental burden of today’s social expectations and struggles. We live connected to the entire world 24/7 which comes with the pressures of being perfect and accepted by people we don’t know. Sometimes when all eyes are on you it feels like the world is waiting for you to step out of line: “We’re living beneath the guillotine.” As demonstrated in the video for The Guillotine, recorded during their thrilling live shows to capacity arena crowds throughout Europe and the UK on their recent tour with Apocalyptica, the prophecy for The Raven Age spells global domination.

Guitarist George Harris reveals: “The Guillotine is a straight up, hard hitting rock song with a sprinkle of metal in there for good measure. We had a matter of days to get it written, recorded, mixed and mastered. It became our trial by fire which coincidentally showed us how much we can get done in such a short space of time under pressure.”
Lead singer Matt James adds: “It is great to surprise everyone with a new single and a European headline tour! The track showcases all the best bits of The Raven Age, catchy riffs and big ass choruses and we can’t wait to bring it to the stage in the new year!”

The band will begin their Forsaken headline tour on March 6th in Tilburg and play a further 22 dates throughout Europe. They will be playing at numerous festivals across Europe next summer including two headline slots at Mangata and Hammerdown Festivals in the UK. Support across all European dates comes from French metal band Disconnected.
