Proggy Boston outfit FirstBourne, already in the release month of their highly anticipated album Pick Up The Torch, have just returned home from touring Canada with Mourn The Light. Back in their pre-release routine, the four exceptional artists have zero intention to slow down. Instead, they’ve decided to keep the engine running with preparations for the upcoming album release, having fun with their fans, raffling signature items on the socials, and, finally, as of today, opening the pre-order hunt for old fans and early birds. To help you with a friendly push in the right direction, the band has also released a new lyric video for the upcoming album track Pretend today – an immersive and engaging song, which has become one of FirstBourne’s finest live gold already, and for good reasons. “The song refers to falling for someone quickly and realizing that spark of attraction will not lead to anything meaningful but keeping the illusion going till the next morning. The song was originally written with a more metal feel but was redone with a rock and roll arrangement. We love playing it live and getting the crowd involved with the choruses of the song.”
