THE BELIEVERS Americana meets Feetwood MacApr 11th, 2008
THE BELIEVERS are a band from Seattle and the members are Craig Aspen and Cynthia Frazzini. Their previous album “Crashvertown” was highly acclaimed and became number one in the Euro Americana Charts as well as a bestseller in the Import Charts.
Since the release of this album, THE BELIEVERS continously toured in the USA, Great Britain and Europe, moved to Nashville and back again and in that time they created a brand new album called “Lucky You”. The co-producer was Stevie Adamek and it was mastered by Ray Kennedy of Twangtrust, who also produced albums for Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams. “Lucky You” easily mix Pop hooks and 70´s harmonies, whereas it is bound in equal measure to American roots. Imagine that Fleetwood Mac meets Alannah Myles. Supported by top-class stars like members of Band Of Horses, “Lucky You” became a Pop jewel which captures the spirit of our time.
A highlight on that album is their very ideosyncratic interpretation of the Judas Priest classic “You´ve Got Another Thing Comin´”.
“Lucky You” is released by CoraZong on May 12.
