Sep 9th, 2009

Name giver and central point of the trio Ladwig is guitar player and singer Peter Ladwig. He started his career with Fargo, a hard Rock band founded in 1973, guitar player Matthias Jabs joined later the Scorpions. After 4 albums, singer and guitar player Peter Ladwig decided to leave Fargo in 1983. Fargo continued with Charlie Huhn as singer from Ted Nugent and changed their name into Victory in 1984.
After he left Fargo, Peter Ladwig lent a Moog synthesizer from a friend. Ladwig was absolutely fascinated of this musical instrument and its sound. His friend did not get his synthesizer back, Peter alias LAD produced one of the first German Synthiepop albums ever named “Recharged” at the Horus Studio in Hanover. He played every instrument on this album. At this time he also worked as a producer for a long time (eg “Sortilège”, Heavy Metal from Paris, or “Sweethard”, later known as “Thunderhead”), in 1986 and 1987 two singles with covers for WEA followed.

Moreover, he has worked as a producer and cameraman in the media sector for RTL, Sat 1 and NDR. He also composed music for VW, Hapag Lloyd and Conti at this time.
After being member of some cover bands, Peter Ladwig wanted to create man-made and own music. He contacted his former drummer Rudi Kaeding and his brother Matze Kaeding and the band Ladwig was born in 2005.
Ladwig make a point playing much live shows, in addition to that they will also play concerts with additional musicians to the current line-up to provide the wished authenticity.
