Wizard Promotions is extremely proud to once again welcome IRON MAIDEN to Germany. Having recently completed the North American leg of the MAIDEN ENGLAND WORLD TOUR, one of the most successful rock tours of the summer, metal legends IRON MAIDEN will now be storming across Europe in 2013 playing stadiums, major festivals and arenas with this critically acclaimed show .
Such is the demand for this highly anticipated 2013 tour that the recently announced show at Stockholm’s new 50,000 capacity Friends Arena stadium sold out within 1 hour.
IRON MAIDEN will play the Festhalle Frankfurt on 11 June, the O2 World in Berlin on 18 June, O2 World in Hamburg on 19 June, Open Air Arena Singen-Aach on 29 June and Open Air an der KöPi-Arena in Oberhausen on 06 July.
Tickets will go on sale in Germany on Saturday, 20 October 2012. Tickets are available through all official box offices, the national ticket hotline 01805 – 570 000 (14 ct./min., mobile prices max 42 ct./min) or online at www.eventim.de. An exclusive first ticket pre-sale for Iron Maiden Fan Club members will run from 15 October, 10 am until 16 October 16 pm. Fan club members will also be eligible in the draw to be ’First To The Barrier’, granting access to the arena before all other visitors and guaranteeing first-class spots right in front of the stage. An exclusive pre-sale through CTS Eventim will start on Wednesday, 17 October at 10 am and end on Friday, 19 October 16 pm.
Following the massively successful Final Frontier World Tour which quickly sold out major arenas around Germany in summer 2011, IRON MAIDEN are back with the MAIDEN ENGLAND tour which will closely mirror, in terms of stage design and set list, the original 1988 concert video of the same name, shot on the “Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son Tour”.
Bruce Dickinson says,
“We had a great time in Germany last year on The Final Frontier arena tour so are really looking forward to revisiting some of these cities again and also playing a couple of larger Open Air shows this time too!”
“We were completely overwhelmed by the reaction from our North American fans to the MAIDEN ENGLAND Tour, which was our most extensive tour there for many years. We had a lot of fun playing the older songs and the fans seemed to love the set list and Eddie’s various incarnations!
The band can’t wait to bring this show to our German fans.”
Steve Harris continues,
“We know how popular the History of Maiden Tours are with fans of all ages and we will be taking with us the full production we had in North America. We had a huge amount of fun with the set list as we got to play songs we had not played in a very long time like Seventh Son, The Prisoner and Afraid To Shoot Strangers, as well as fan favourites like The Trooper, Aces High, The Number Of The Beast, Wasted Years and Run To The Hills. The opening leg of the tour was so enjoyable for the whole band, we’re really looking forward to taking it to our fans around Europe and, as always, to seeing all our friends in Germany again.”
MAIDEN ENGLAND marks the third chapter in the History of Iron Maiden, a journey which began in 2004 with The Early Days DVD and subsequent 2005 Early Days Tour. Part Two followed in 2008 with the Live After Death DVD – the seminal 1984 concert recorded at Long Beach Arena (L.A) during the World Slavery Tour – and the band embarking on their ground-breaking Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008/9, which saw them play to over two million fans in almost 40 countries.
Widely considered one of the most important rock acts of all time, IRON MAIDEN have sold almost 90 million albums worldwide, played over 2000 live performances across 58 countries around the globe, and released 15 studio albums including the most recent, The Final Frontier, their biggest ever chart success attaining No.1 positions in over 28 countries including of course, Germany.
Iron Maiden and Wizard Promotions are very much against the secondary ticket market and believe that fans should never pay more than the price stated on the tickets. We therefore urge everybody to only buy from the official outlets.
