Only 5 days till 1st December and then the eagerly awaited band confirmations for W:O:A 2010 will begin. Every day a new band will be confirmed for the festival. The highlight: The Advent calendar includes a raffle every day, the solution word is the band which will be confirmed the next day!
There will be cool prizes daily (autographed guitars, merch packages etc.) and first prizes like a new D-Drum Drumset and flight tickets to European megacities for 2!
For the upcoming Wacken Open Air in 2010 the first two bands are
confimred:
No one else than the norwegian Black Metal heroes from IMMORTAL
and the kings of the jongleurs, CORVUS CORAX, who will play a special
show (“Wacken burns”).
After W:O:A is before W:O:A… - The 20th
anniversary of the worlds largest Heavy Metal festival is over, however, nobody
has to sad. Because there is a DVD with the best live performances and scenes
from backstage like every year.

After 4 days of supporting bands, internet things and the Business Camp and writing the official W:O:A diary, the CMM Crew is back at the office. So this years´ Wacken is history and the Metalheads are counting the 367 days to W:O:A 2010. In the meantime you can share your highlights of the W:O:A 2009 with other users on www.wackentube.com to get an appetite for the next year.
Moreover, the presale for W:O:A 2010 has started today. The Xmas package sold like hotcakes, within 10 hours (what a record time!!) this limited allocation has been sold out.
2 days after the last band had played at W:O:A 2009, the organizers announced the first band confirmations for 2010: the norwegian Black Metal heroes from Immortal and the kings of the jongleurs, Corvus Corax, who will play a special show (“Wacken burns”) ! More within a short time…

Es hat sich einiges bezüglich Wacken getan! Running Wild spielen auf dem W:O:A ihre letzte Show in ihrer Bandgeschichte, Stammgäste wie Motörhead, In Flames und Saxon sorgen für Geburtstagsstimmung, auch wenn die vorerst bestätigten Bands wie Thin Lizzy und Anthrax nun abgesagt haben. Für Thin Lizzy wurde eine Secret Show angekündigt und bei Anthrax steht noch nicht ganz fest, ob es definitiv ausfällt oder John Bush für den entlassenen Sänger einspringen wird. Heaven & Hell (die Black Sabbath Kultbesetzung mit Ronnie James Dio) sind DIE Bandbestätigung schlechthin und auch Machine Head, Bullet For My Valentine und Doro werden unter anderem für gewaltige Action sorgen. Neu ist auch unter anderem Bullhead City Wrestling, Live Action Role Play, die Medieval Action & Fantasy Area, der Jägermeister Hochstand und einige organisatorische Verbesserungen im Gegensatz zum letzten Jahr. Die in den Medien eingeschlagene Tourdokumentation „Flight 666“ von Iron Maiden wird in der Wacken Movie Night vorgeführt, die vorläufige Running Order steht, Meet & Greet Zeiten wurden veröffentlicht...

PARITY BOOT beim METAL BATTLE Nord/West

2005 konnten PARITY BOOT den Metal Battle Niedersachsen für sich entschieden und sind seit der Zeit dem WOA Metal Battle sehr verbunden. Auch für den aktuellen Wacken Trailer steuerten PARITY BOOT den Titel "Dying here" bei. In diesem Jahr sind PARITY BOOT nun auch wieder live dabei.
Am 27.06.09 rocken sie beim METAL BATTLE Nord / West in Vechta / Gulfhaus als Special Guest die Bühne.

Liebe Wacken Rocks Fans,
leider müssen die beiden
Festivals Wacken Rocks South & Wacken Rocks Seaside vom 21.05 – 23.05.09
beim Seaside auf die Termine: 28.08. – 30.08.09 und beim South auf die Termine:
27.08.-29.08.09 verlegt werden.
Der Grund: wegen der starken
Ticketnachfrage haben die örtlichen Behörden in Aurich die Auflagen kurzfristig
geändert und somit kann das Festivalgelände bzw. können die Campingflächen
nicht, wie ursprünglich geplant, genutzt werden.
Aufgrund der dadurch notwendigen
Umstrukturierung, werden zusätzliche Flächen benötigt, die leider aktuell im
Mai durch landwirtschaftliche Nutzung nicht zur Verfügung stehen. Es können
aber leider nur beide Festivals zusammen verlegt werden.
