Rock Im Revier – schedule, camping, stagesMay 8th, 2015
The countdown has started! The final preparations for the first Rock im Revier festival are coming to an end. From May 29th to May 31st, the grounds of the “VELTINS-Arena auf Schalke” will be dominated by nothing else but total rock! For three days, numerous international outstanding bands will turn the VELTINS Arena into a rock circus. By releasing the running order, camping information and the location of the three stages, Rock im Revier is all set for a terrific rock event on Schalke.
METALLICA, MUSE AND KISS ARE READY TO ROCK
METALLICA are more than prepared for Rock im Revier, their first show on European ground in 2015. Drummer Lars Ulrich promises an extraordinary event: “We had obviously some great shows in Germany over the few years, but this is the beginning of a new set of festivals and a new experience and Metallica is honored to be part of that. We’ll definitely make it special.”
On Saturday, MUSE will present a two-hour live set including a musical journey through their whole career and we are looking forward to nothing less than a sensational live show including big hits. On June 5th, the band will release their new studio album “Drones”. At Rock im Revier, we will be able to experience some of the brand new songs exclusively.
To describe KISS – “The Hottest Band In The World” – only the absolute superlative is good enough. With their pyro laden top-class show and a set that will leave nothing to be desired, KISS will simply present the fans at Rock im Revier the show of the year.
THREE STAGES AT THE GROUNDS OF THE VELTINS ARENA
As planned, three stages in and around the “VELTINS-Arena auf Schalke” will make the ground shake. The “Big Stage” is located inside the VELTINS Arena and will be turned into an open air stage in case of good weather. The second open air stage, the “Boom Stage”, will be located on parking area P7 on the grounds of the VELTINS Arena. The indoor “Bang Stage” will be placed inside the Emscher-Lippe hall, which is located on the arena grounds as well.
RUNNING ORDER PUBLISHED
From now on, the detailed running order with all play times and updated changes is available on www.rock-im-revier.de/schedule. Newly confirmed in the line-up is the Australian garage punk band Money For Rope, which will open up the Bang Stage on Saturday. Hardcore band Gallows plays on Friday instead of Sunday as it was previously announced. Unfortunately, there is also a cancellation to announce. Alongside the cancellation of Emmure due to illness, Blackberry Smoke won’t be able to play at Rock im Revier because of changes in their tour plan.
